6 Months Old!!

Will is 6 months old and got all his shots including the flu shot so he was not a happy boy on Friday. He does much better each time we go to see the doctor. His stats are:
Weight: 16 lbs. 14 oz. (40%)
Length: 28 inches (92%)
Head: 42cm (10%)

As you can see we have no problem in the length department but we need to pack on the pounds. He eats really well but he is just so active that he burns off what he takes in.

Things have been hectic with the Holidays and with helping out Mike's mom. Georgia had a stroke on Friday December 5th and just came home this past Friday. She is doing really well and continues to get better. We are just glad she was able to come home for Christmas.

Happy Birthday Mike!!!

Okay, so I'm a little late. Mike's 30th birthday was Saturday the 29th. We celebrated with a cake I picked out. The design of the cake is to make up for him not being able to go hunting this year. We had his family out and had a honey baked ham.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had a great time seeing all our family and celebrating Will's first Thanksgiving. We were able to get Will and Sydney (Will's cousin) together for some play time. Sydney is a month ahead of Will and is already crawling. Will is starting to sit, but won't sit still, and he scoots like a pro.

Kasold Reunion

We were in K.C. for an early Thanksgiving and were able to meet up with the old crew from the college years. Just about everyone was there along with their kids. It was great seeing everyone. I hope we can meet up at least once a year.

I think Luke is starting a little early.

5 Months Old!!!

Happy Birthday Will!! Today my little baby is 5 months old. The time has flown by and he just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Along with him growing up he is finally sleeping through the night. Around a week ago he finally had his first 8 p.m. to 6:30a.m. night and we have kept it up. He may cry out a couple of times during the night but he falls back to sleep within a minute. YEAH WILL!!!! We hope to have him catch a few snowflakes over the weekend. Here is a pic. I took this morning.

Here his is doing his morning situps.

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Today is our 2nd anniversary. It's hard to believe what we have accomplished (making another little human) in just 2 short years. Time flies. It has been an amazing 2 years and we celebrated over the weekend by going out to dinner in between feedings and early enough so we could be home to put Will to bed. Oh, the life of a parent.

Pumpkin Patch

Will went to his first Pumpkin Patch over the weekend with his cousins and got to see all sorts of fun new things. He went on his first hayride and slept through the entire ride. He did really well and seemed to enjoy checking everything out.

Posing with my cousins Kali & Ava

It's not quite a horse but close enough for now.

Will's Baptism

We had a wonderful weekend. It was great seeing all my family. I can't thank everyone enough for driving all the way to be there for Will's baptism. It really says something when you have that much family driving all that way.

Everyone arrived Saturday and we did dinner and a bonfire. Will was the center of attention. At one point I found him in the middle of the living room sitting in his bumbo surrounded by my entire family. Everyone wanted to see him roll over and I didn't think he would just b/c but sure enough he rolled from belly to back for all to see.

Sunday was the big day and Will was a perfect angel. He is now baptized and Mike and I are now responsible for teaching him the Catholic religion, so I guess that means we need to start going to Church on a more regular basis.

Parents as Teachers

We had Will's first Parents as Teachers meeting. For those who don't know it is a state funded program where a Parent Educator comes to your house and makes sure your little one is developing on track. They make 5 visits a year and teach the parents things we can do to make sure our baby develops on track.

Will got a glowing report and is even ahead in some areas. We did tummy time to show her how we can hold up our head and chest. He, of course, wouldn't rollover for her but he can do it. In fact, Monday night he rolled from his belly to his back. He can roll both ways now. We showed her how he can grab at toys and put them directly in his mouth, and how he is even trying to sit up. Okay, enough of me bragging.

We have a full weekend. Will is being baptized this weekend and we have my entire family coming up this weekend. Saturday night we are doing dinner and a bonfire. Most of my family has never even seen our place so it should be fun. Sunday, is the baptism and then we are doing lunch at our house before everyone heads back to Kansas. We are also supposed to attend an Oktoberfest on Saturday for a couple of hours. I will have tons of pics for my next post.

In Loving Memory

On Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 we had to put Sophie to rest. She lived a long and full life of 14+ years and had been in so many peoples lives. From Kasold (my old house in Lawrence, KS) to St. Louis. She has been my companion and friend. Someone I could come home to when I lived by myself.

For about a year now she has been plagued with seizures, tumors and many different things. She always seemed to bounce back but recently she had lost her spunk.
I am grateful I was able to get this last year out of her and that she was able to meet Will.

She will be missed.

Cereal Time

After a long day on Sunday of what felt like I was nursing non stop we gave Will a bottle before bed. He took an 8 oz. bottle. I started to question my supply and called the doctor. They told me that I just have a hungry, growing boy and that I should go ahead and start cereal.

We mixed 1 tbsp. of cereal with 2 oz. of breast milk, so it was really soupy. I don't think he swallowed any but he sure like to eat the spoon. Most of the cereal drooled out of his mouth. We are going to keep trying and see what happens. I hoped this might help him sleep through the night but I was wrong.

Here is another adorable picture we took this week. It looks like he is ready for his own horse.

This has been a very busy week. I started back to work on Monday and had to leave my little baby at the babysitters for the first time. It was a lot harder on me then it was on him. Will has a little girl there that is 1 month younger then him to play with. I have also found out how much of a little pig he is. He is now taking 7oz. bottles at the babysitters. I guess I will have to pump like crazy to keep up.

Will rolled over on Tuesday, September 23rd in front of mommy. He did it 5 times in a row so I was able to record it. He also is wanting to sit up so we got him one of those Pod's. Here is a pic.
